But it was in a situation I could not blame him for the death alone. The last guy died after the occultist failed with 0 points healing. I had an occultist with me but that was not the reason the mission went wrong. The fist one was a vestal against the siren (no occultist involved), then two guys on third darkest dungeon run. I play half of my missions with an occultist (warren and cove) and half with vestal (ruins and labyrinth), most times at least. What would make it a balanced choice is then up to debate, but just give me the chance to itemize smartly for the only real back-up healer in this game when I choose to give him that role in a group.ĭeath are rare in the game but they belong to the game. We can discuss the implications of this, but as Tripoteur Ventripotent stated, trading DMG for heals is a game strategy that can be fun and can allow you to use more team compositions to better effect. The fact that the Arbalest has itemizations to boost her (pretty lackluster) Healing ability and not the Occultist is frankly a sad thing as you are left with a character who has the potential to fill multiple roles yet is mostly locked into offensive roles with a defensive skill. What I want is the ability to itemize a second class towards a stronger Healing role as a choice for the player. So far, his itemization allows him to be either a damage dealer or a strong debuffer, but his Healing is always lacking and unsafe. The Occultist has great skills for offense, and this is true. I do not count the Arbalest as a real healer because her Healing skill really only works with other self-Healing classes or requires an insane amount of turns to bring a character back up, not to mention she cannot target rank 4 with it. There are FIFTEEN classes in this game, and right now only ONE is a reliable healer. Alright, before this post drifts too far into comments about L2P and QQ moar, let me restate the purpose of this.
